The first single from Vancouver duo the Hope Slide, "Passage" blends dreamy female harmonies and analogue synths on the verses, with a metallic guitar crunch that sears through the choruses. You could describe it as sort of a School of Seven (Sleigh) Bells sound if you were feeling clever. And, history buffs take note: it's a song about the ill-fated Franklin Expedition. The Hope Slide's debut album is slated for on-line release in September by Submerged Records.
